After three windsurfing sessions in a row and with no wind forecast it was great to spend the day with Mag :) So with an relaxing start in the garden and with it being Felixstowe carnival today we decided to pack a picnic lunch and get out on the bikes to avoid the crowds and the sad Majorettes !!! We started riding through the town to the road closed where the carnival was lined up and ready to start and on to the ferry, you could see the 505's racing out to sea - sadly the wind was very light :( We then headed left along the beautiful River Deben path to Kings Fleet and found a lovely spot for our picnic on a fishing platform right by the water surrounded by dragonflies :) After a nice lunch and a bit of reading and sunbathing we continued across stunning Suffolk countryside with the usual big skies :) we stopped on the way to watch a baling machine laying huge round bales, then it was over to Trimley stopping at Chris Stephens to see his bee hives and buy a jar of honey and home for a well deserved tea and ice cream :) As it was such a nice night we decided to have a walk along the prom - there was loads of stalls on the prom and lots of people on the beach and in the sea :) In the Spa Gardens there was a stage set-up and a good band were playing to a lively crowd :) The band was called 'Bouncing off Concrete' and they ended with my favourite song of all time - 20th Century Boy by T.Rex :) We ended the day with a top meal made by Mag and tomorrow we have an airshow and fireworks !!!
